Carl F. Bucherer has followed up on the successful Black Manta Special Edition, made to support the Manta Trust charity that protects the elegant manta rays, with a Patravi Scubatec Black that shares many of its design codes.

The all black chronometer-certified watch is rated water resistant to 500 metres, and comes in a 44.6mm matte black DLC coated titanium case.

Inside is an automatic, CFB 1950.1 caliber powering hours, minutes and seconds hands, plus a date.

It is worn on a composite strap of rubber and recycled plastic bottles or an all rubber version.

The watch is expected to go on sale in April.
