Carl F. Bucherer fits peripheral rotor movement into big date watches

Manero Peripheral BigDate is the second launch this year using the architecture following the introduction of the Manero Peripheral Minute Repeater Symphony in April.

Carl F. Bucherer has added a pair of big date watches to its Manero Peripheral family.

Peripheral refers to a type of oscillating weight that winds up the watch.

Rather than a semi-circular weight, which obscures half the movement as it swings back and forth winding the mainspring, a peripheral rotor swings around the edge of the movement, exposing more of the mechanics.

The BigDate is powered by the manufacture caliber CFB A2011 with 55 hour power reserve, presented through a crystal case back.

There are two dial colours in the initial collection: one in light blue dial with a contrasting small-seconds subdial and power reserve indication in beige, the other is dark gray dial with a contrasting olive-green small-seconds subdial and power reserve indication

You can pair either watch with a textile strap matching the subdial colour or a stainless steel bracelet.

Both come in a 41.6mm stainless steel case.

They retail for £6,950 on the steel bracelet.
