French fashion house Cacharel has signed a licensing agreement for the production of the first range of Cacharel watches.
The timepiece collection will be produced by watch manufacturer Ambre Group, with the first models due to be launched at Baselworld in April.
The collections are set to be developed with Cacharel’s creation studio and could potentially be sold in more than 50 countries.
The brand said of the announcement: “This new license contract fits in the worldwide redeployment strategy of the product lines of Cacharel, which will benefit from the strength of Ambre’s international distribution network.”
French watch manufacturer Ambre currently produces directional brands such as Catena, Yema and Yonger & Bresson. It also holds the licenses for Zadig & Voltaire and Kookaï watches.
Cacharel is said to in the midst of a repositioning process and is working with French production companies across its clothing and accessories collections. It is also bringing back in-house the design, sales and advertising for all of its ready-to-wear lines.
