Bulova gives exclusive watches to first time GRAMMY winners

Every first time winner at next Sunday’s GRAMMY Awards will be given an Exclusive Edition GRAMMY timepiece along with their trophy.

The steel Precisionist watch has a gold-tone crown and dial made of GRAMMIUM — a custom alloy developed by John Billings, the craftsman who makes the gold gramophone trophy that GRAMMY winners receive.

“It is an honor and a very unique opportunity for Bulova to use the GRAMMIUM alloy in these special timepieces,” says Jeffrey Cohen, president of Citizen Watch America. “These first-time winners can wear this memento as a daily reminder of their incredible musical achievements and now the public can have their own piece featuring this rare material.”

Alongside the GRAMMY first time winners’ exclusive, Bulova is making an automatic timepiece using the same GRAMMIUM alloy that can be bought by the public.

It comes in a black IP stainless steel case with a gold-look crown that looks like a guitar tuning peg and has the GRAMMY logo on its case back.

It will go on sale for  $850.
