Bulova backs King as he steps up to GP2 challenge

Former British F3 champion and Bulova partner Jordan King is graduating from F3 to a motor-racing series that acts as a feeder into Formula 1.

Twenty-year-old King has been wearing a Bulova Precisionist Chronograph watch since April last year, during a season in which he secured seven F3 podium finishes, and this year joins the GP2 series.

King said: “It’s too early to set any expectations just yet – there’s plenty of hard work ahead and I’m well aware that I have a lot to take on-board – but we know what the goal is and I’m really excited about it all. I can’t wait to get going!”

The Warwickshire hotshot was presented with the choice of entering into either GP2 or Formula Renault 3.5 for the 2015 season and selected the former after a standout performance at the end-of-season Abu Dhabi GP2 test.

Over the course of 150 laps around the Yas Marina Circuit, King turned heads the entire length of the pit-lane by demonstrating scintillating raw speed, lapping consistently inside the top six in the 26-strong field and ending two of the sessions in second place on the timing screens. In so doing, he outpaced a whole host of infinitely more experienced rivals – some backed by F1 powerhouses Ferrari, Red Bull and Lotus.

Bulova will continue to support King throughout this next step of his racing career and branding will appear on his racing kit, helmet and the front nose of his Racing Engineering Dallara single-seater.
