Brit’s shock Augusta victory lifts Audemars Piguet’s profile

Danny Willett’s dramatic victory at Augusta this week was particularly sweet for Audemars Piguet, as he is one of a number of leading golfers that the watch brand sponsors.

Willet held tight in difficult conditions in the first three rounds before scoring a scintillating 67 on Sunday without dropping a single shot, catapulting him to his first Major Championship victory.

The 28-year-old was seen on TV collecting the famous green jacket while sporting a Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph in forged carbon on his wrist.

Willett is part of the Audemars Piguet Dream Team of golf ambassadors composed of Lee Westwood, Byeong Hun An, Keegan Bradley, Darren Clarke, Victor Dubuisson, Emiliano Grillo, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Renato Paratore, Ian Poulter, Henrik Stenson, Peter Uihlein and Bernd Wiesberger.

Audemars Piguet claims to be the oldest fine watchmaking manufacturer still in the hands of its founding families.
