You know a women’s quartz fashion watch is hot when you can barely find it discounted over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend.
So it was for the Vivienne Westwood Bloomsbury, which has been flying off the shelves, we believe, because of its bang on trend gender neutral appeal.
Sure, at 35mm it is certainly in the ladies’ category today but would have been a man-size watch 30 years’ ago.
Its bi-colour steel case, bezel and bracelet are equally gender-neutral and it doesn’t bother with fripperies like Swarovski crystals or diamonds. Instead it has high end touches associated with more expensive watches like a deployment clasp on the bracelet.
Customers at WatchShop and Amazon have both given it 5-star reviews, and we could not agree more. At around £270 for a British-designed and Swiss-made watch, it does not need to be cut-priced to be fantastic value.
