British brand Nite Watches lights up its brightest range of illuminated timepieces

Nite Watches, a 12-year-old independent British watch brand based in Dorset, has announced the launch of Alpha, a collection of quartz-powered watches.

Nite Watches created its first collection in 2004 with a mission to build precision-engineered watches in the UK. Its main technical USP is the use of GTLS (Gaseous Tritium Light Source) illumination, a self-powered 24 hour illumination technology which is considered the most reliable form of illumination utilised in watches.

The new 42mm stainless steel Alpha series houses a Swiss quartz Ronda movement providing 10 year battery life. It uses the latest T100 rated Tritium illumination for legibility in the dark.

The collection has a uni-directional ceramic bezel insert, sapphire crystal with a triple anti-reflective coating, screw-down crown and a 300m water resistance rating.

“We are immensely proud of the Alpha series and what it has become. Throughout the R&D process we learnt exactly what potential Alpha owners were looking for in a watch of this calibre. Combining this with our knowledge of the market and original ideas for the series has helped us to create what we believe is the ultimate quartz powered watch,” says Nite Watch marketing manager, Gavin Mountford.

The Alpha series is currently sold only on the Nite Watches website with prices from £400.
