Benoit Lecigne has been promoted by Hublot to general manager for France, Benelux, UK, Ireland, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. He was previously brand director for the same territory.
A brief statement from Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe says: “We thank him for his commitment and wish him all the best in his future challenges.”
The promotion could be good news for Hublot’s UK partners as the Frenchman is a self-confessed Anglophile.
“I adore your culture, I admire your history and I strongly believe there is no better dressed man than an English one,” he enthused to WatchPro when he was featured in our Hot 100 in 2016 (pictured above).
He also loves our cars. “I am convinced that the United Kingdom has the best car brands, except Ferrari of course, and if one day I fulfil my dream – the one of buying an Aston Martin DB5 – I will feel that I have become a genuine English gentleman!”
