Bremont wins Peoples’ Choice Award at Couture

Bremont has been awarded the Peoples’ Choice Award at US jewellery and watch show Couture, during an awards gala held at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel last weekend.

The British brand was selected from a total 162 entrants to the Couture Design Awards, with the winners chosen against a criterion of design, craftsmanship and salability.

Bremont dubbed the award a wonderful achievement, following its significant retail growth in the US over the past 18 months. It now has a presence in more than 40 doors in North America.

Nick English, co-founder of the brand with his brother Giles English, said: “We are truly touched by this award and thank all the retailers, journalists and trade that have voted for us.

“We have really been focusing on the US market and the growth over the last couple of years is really a great testament to the work that we have put in."

The brand’s US director Michael Person said Bremont was fortunate to have a “wonderful” US retailer and client base that understands the philosophy of the brand and the time and effort it puts into its watches.

“Our retailers have been delighted with the performance if the Bremont brand and the US is now quickly becoming our largest market. There is lots to still do but we certainly feel that the excitement out hereis just the tip of the iceberg for this territory,” explained Person.

Top American watch and jewellery retailers that attended Couture’s Time show in Las Vegas chose Bremont’s ALTI-WT watch as their show favorite.

Other winning timepieces were the HD3 Slyde, which won the Innovation award, and Romain Jerome, which scooped top prize in the Architecture category.
