Bremont races to sponsor Silverstone Classic

The brand has signed a three-year deal, representing a further push into the world of motor racing.

British watch brand Bremont has been announced as the timing partner of the Silverstone Classic.

This year’s race takes place over the August bank holiday weekend on 26-28 August and Bremont will be a sponsor for the next two years as well as part of this deal.

After working with Jaguar and the Williams F1 team in the past, motor racing is clearly a key part of Bremont’s commercial strategy. The brand’s co-founder Nick English will even be driving a 1953 Austin Healey at the Classic.

“It’s hard to imagine a more perfect timing partner than Bremont,” said Nick Wigley, CEO of The Classic promoter Goose Live Events. “The company has a massive passion for exquisite engineering and, like us, is saluting the very Best of British. It even calls its own state-of-the art headquarters ‘The Wing,’ the same term applied to Silverstone’s own Formula 1 paddock complex”.

Mr English of Bremont was equally excited about the new relationship. “Bremont’s passion for engineering, precision and mechanical craftsmanship is reflected in our partnership with The Classic which we are incredibly excited about,” he said. “Over the next three years, we will be maximising our involvement and adventurous spirit to introduce Bremont to The Classic’s audience.”

Bremont will be offering one of its watches to one lucky winner over the weekend of the event, whilst also offering tours and watchmaking masterclasses to individuals entering competitions being held at the event over the three-day weekend.
