Bremont makes 60th anniversary watch for Jaguar E-Type obsessives

Enzo Ferrari described it as the most beautiful car ever made.

Not the Dino 246 GTS, but the Jaguar E-Type, which was revealed 60 years ago at the Geneva Motor Show of 1961.

Bremont is marking its long-standing association with Jaguar with a limited edition in celebration of the car’s anniversary.

The Bremont E-type Jaguar, made in a production run of 60 pieces priced at £12,995, goes on sale today.

It has a black dial inspired by the E-type’s instrument gauges including chamfered hour and minute hands designed to look like the car’s tachometer needle.

The bezel and strap colours come from the pantones used on the continuation cars themselves – Flat Out Grey ‘9600 HP’ and Drop Everything Green ‘77RW’ roadster.

It is a 42mm steel watch, waterproof to 200 metres, with an exhibition case back exposing the automatic chronograph movement with a rotor designed like the 1960s E-Type Jag’s steering wheel.
