Bremont adds chronograph GMT to its Supermarine dive watch collection

Bremont unveiled its first sports chronograph within its Supermarine dive collection today.

The 43mm steel watches house a chronometer-rated La Joux Perret 7754 calibre chronograph movement with a second time zone hand sweeping a 24 hour bidirectional bezel.

There are two chronograph sub dial counters, a small seconds and a central chronograph hand.

It is offered this year with a blue or black dial and bezel combination on an integrated steel bracelet or rubber strap.

The Supermarine Chrono has a sapphire crystal open case back but is still water resistant to 200 metres.

  1. Well executed in Design and Finish, glad to see the continuity of the same Strap as was on the original Supermarine 500 in 2009-2010. The added GMT Feature that appeared previously on their ALT-1Z Chrono had the same Features (and 7754 Chronometer Rated Caliber), save for the Plain Case Bezel, had an internally mounted rotating Bezel outside the Dial. The GMT is a great Feature adding Value and Convenience, especially for those travelling whether Business or Vacation, eliminating the need for an additional Timepiece and regardless of one’s Phone, which may or may not be at the Beach, Ocean or where-ever, but allowing “the time where one is, and where one’s heart may be.” That all said, my preference would have been for the traditional Uni-Directional Dive Bezel and if so desired the Second Track outside of the 24 Hour Track on the Dial, with no need to rotate as on the ALT-1Z.
