Breitling has introduced a five-year warranty on its in-house movements.
The watch brand first starting making its own movements in 2009 and last year annual production hit 40,000 movements.
A statement from Breitling reads: “To confirm the exceptional reliability of these in-house movements, Breitling has decided to introduce an exclusive five-year warranty on all models equipped with its manufacture calibers – meaning around half its range of mechanical chronographs. This move represents an exceptional measure at this level of production, and a powerful seal of confidence for all users of Breitling wrist instruments.”
The first Breitling movement made in house was the Caliber 01, chronograph. At BasleWorld this year the watch house unveiled its latest movement, the worldtimer Caliber 05.
