Breitling named Air Sports Federation partner

The Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), aka the World Air Sports Federation, has signed a long term global partnership with Breitling watches.

The Swiss watch brand, based in Grenchen, Switzerland, is the FAI’s first ever global partner, and will carry the honour of being the officla watch of the air sports federation.

Théodore Schneider, president of Breitling said: "We are delighted to partner with the FAI as we share the same values. Our involvement with aeronautics has always been part of our history and we will do our best to write a successful story together."

Breitling’s rights as official global partner means it will have a general presence in FAI Category 1 events and will be part of a series of dedicated sole and exclusive programmes designed specially for Breitling.

John Grubbström, the FAI’s president, added: "Breitling is a highly respected brand and we are very proud to be associated with such an historic company.

"We strongly believe in a partnership with Breitling as a global partner and will be delighted to cooperate with Breitling in consolidating its presence within the international aeronautics community."
