Having focused on the all-new Premier family last year, Breitling is returning to its blockbuster model in 2019 with a faithful 60th anniversary reissue of a 1959 Navitimer, arguably the most popular design of a watch that first appeared in 1952.
The Navitimer Ref. 806 1959 Re-Edition is a chronograph that replicates the design codes of one of the most revered early Navitimers, the Breitling Ref. 806, borrowing details including an all-black dial with tone-on-tone subdials and a rotating beaded bezel.
The steel model is limited to 1959 pieces while only 159 of the gold piece will be made.
It will first be seen at Baselworld, priced at £6,520 in steel on a leather strap or £16,950 in 18ct gold.

Abandoning a promise last year to use only one version of the Breitling logo, the new Navitimer uses the old Breitling inscription in capital letters and an unsigned winged logo.
It comes in the same 40.9mm sized case in stainless steel housing Breitling’s manufacture Calibre B09 hand wound chronograph movement.
