Combining two gadgets in one is nothing new, particularly to the watch industry, which has built calculators, mobile phones and heart rate monitors into its timepieces.
Breil is therefore treading a familiar path with its latest concept watch, the Paparazzo, which takes its design straight from a camera.
Finnish designer Nils Kajander designed the prototype, which has a watch face like an old fashioned camera shutter, and a calendar dial on the bezel that is taken straight from the focusing ring of a camera lens.
Even the watch crown’s design is identical to an old fashioned camera timer button.
Breil has not indicated whether the concept watch will make it into production.
