The British watch industry’s brightest stars came together for the 2016 WatchPro Awards Dinner last night, with Aurum Group companies bagging three of the prestigious awards.
Bosses of Boutique.Goldsmiths, Watches of Switzerland and Watch Shop all walked away with WatchPro Awards trophies in a night.
But Aurum did not have it all its own way. Beaverbrooks beat Watches of Switzerland to the title of Luxury Multiple Watch Retailer of the Year.

The 2016 WatchPro Awards were created to honour the achievements of the leading watch brands, wholesalers and retailers operating in the UK today.
Drawing up the shortlist of finalists and the ultimate winners was a three stage process that aimed to capture the collective expertise of hundreds of executives working in the British watch market.
The first step was to invite readers of WatchPro to nominate the businesses and teams that they most admire in the 14 categories we present in the following pages. These nominations were studied by the WatchPro team, who took into account the number of times a business was nominated and the evidence of the nominee’s achievements in the past 12 months.
From this, we created shortlists of finalists that were then presented back to the industry both online at WatchPro.com and in the October edition of WatchPro magazine.
We adopted an online voting system where people were first asked whether they worked at a watch brand office, a retailer, a wholesaler or a service company. Depending on the answer to this question, voters were streamed into two different sets of questions with the aim of ensuring that only retailers voted for watch brands and wholesalers, while only watch brands and wholesalers voted for retailers. The votes in each stream were counted and led us to the winners that we reveal here.
