Bovet takes to SIHH with Virtuoso IX presentation

Designers have incorporated a Felurier Amadeo convertible case to give it a reversible capability.

Bovet has unveiled its Virtuoso IX at this year’s SIHH in Geneva.

Containing a new calibre housed in a 46.3mm diameter, designers have also incorporated a Felurier Amadeo convertible case which gives the piece capability to become a reversible wristwatch.

Its case has also been equipped with a new mechanism which allows the case back to be opened by applying pressure to the crown.

The Virtuoso IX’s dial allows for only the minute hand to be centred while the hour hand is offset at 2 o’clock, and a second hour hand, the 24- hour hand, displays a second time zone at 10 o’clock.

This mean that both the local time and the secondary time zone share the minute hand.

The timepiece contains a new face on the reverse side and though no dial is present, the hours and minutes are centred directly over the movement.

Additionally, the twice-patented spherical differential winding system generates 10 days of power reserve for the Virtuoso IX from a single barrel.
