Christmas may be just around the corner, but Blancpain’s thoughts have already turned to Valentine’s Day and the Swatch Group brand has produced a timepiece certain to get female hearts fluttering.
The £10,930 Blancpain Saint Valentin, available exclusively from Blancpain’s Bond Street boutique, is a 29mm steel watch with a mother-of-pearl watch face surrounded by a bezel set with 68 diamonds. A cluster of 19 rubies in the shape of a heart is the focal point of the dial at 12 o’clock and its seconds hand is a red arrow that might have been fired by Cupid himself.
On the back of the watch, a sapphire crystal reveals an open-worked white gold oscillating weight marked with the Côtes de Genève that winds the newly developed Caliber 913 automatic movement.
The Saint-Valentin, limited to 99 numbered pieces, is sold with two interchangeable alligator leather straps.
