Bianchet will launch a limited edition Carbon Earth Tourbillon at WATCHPRO Salon, which opens tomorrow (Friday, November 12) at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square and runs through to Saturday.

Tickets can be bought in advance or visitors are welcome to walk up on the day.

The Bianchet limited edition of just 21 pieces will get its worldwide debut at the event.

Its tonneau- (barrel) shaped case is made from a composite of carbon fibres with titanium powder that gives it a subtle shimmer.

Ratio 1. 618

Franco-Italian watchmaker Bianchet points out that the design and architecture of the watch follows the rules of the Golden Ratio (1.618) for its curved case that hugs the wrist and is capable of withstanding shocks of up to 6,000G and is water resistant to 50 metres.

The carbon case measures 43 x 50 x 13mm and houses an openworked Calibre B1.618 movement that uses light and strong titanium for its plate, gear-train bridges and tourbillon cage.

Bianchet has used a number of high end finishes for the movement including sand-blasted, circular-grained, satin-brushed titanium plates and bridges with a black PVD finish and a hand-finished titanium tourbillon cage.

The CHF 55,000 watch comes with two straps in tan and black.
