Bering Time has announced the appointment of Richard Hill as UK country manager for Bering Time.
Hill joins the watch brand from jewellery distributor Fable Trading, where he spent 10 months working with jewellery brands Buddha To Buddha and Quoins. Before this Hill worked at Skagen and Fossil, as well as Paul Smith where he was involved in the launch of a range of Swiss-made watches for the fashion label.
Hill will start his new position on February 1 and said that he is ready to face a competitive industry.
He added: “In the current market, there are many challenges that we face as an emerging brand and with the strong relationships we will continue developing with our retail partners. I will strive to ensure that Bering remains at the top of their game with innovative solutions and creative thinking.”
Bering Time managing director Lars Skjønneman said: “We are very proud and happy to welcome Richard Hill here at Bering, and we are convinced that his previous experience and personality will contribute to bringing Bering to the next level. Our UK team is fantastic and it will be Richard’s job to motivate them as well as the customers to exploit all opportunities provided by this brand.”
Hill will replace former UK managing director Henrik Leth Møller who left the brand at the end of 2013 to take up position as UK sales director with jewellery brand Trollbeads.
