Bering breaks new retail target at Jewellery Show

Bering has described its recent appearance at The Jewellery Show as its "best show to date", launching 30 new models and smashing its target number of new retail partners.

The Danish brand showcased its timepieces for the second consecutive year at The Jewellery Show, which took place at the Birmingham NEC early last week.

Its UK director Henrik Leth Møller said: "We had a very busy show, our best show to date. A lot of existing customers came to see our new ranges and we had a lot of interest from new buyers as well.

"As an emerging brand we had quite an ambitious target in regards to opening new accounts at the show, and that target was exceeded by around 50%."

Leth Møller said the brand’s new stand position on the boulevard – the main walkway through the show – worked very well for it. He also praised the development of the show in recent years.

"I think the crisp clear look of our stand and our watches attracted many people. We got a lot of positive response to the fresh clean minimalistic look of the range and many people commented on that exactly that was what they needed, because it is something a bit different to what they typically have in their stores."

While Bering typically receives re-orders through its agents’ store visits, it also welcomed a large number of orders at the show, in particlar from existing retailers wishing to take on its new collections.

Of the 30 new styles launched by the brand, one of Bering’s most popular lines was its new range of smaller ladies watches.

"But the main attraction among our new styles were, without a doubt, our new brown ceramic and rose gold styles which everyone loved. We also launched a new range of ceramic Jewellery, which the retailers loved," added Leth Møller.
