Benedict Cumberbatch helps Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrate the Art of Precision

London’s Royal Academy, an institution that supports artists and architects, hosted a dinner that included readings of historic artists’ letters by Mr Cumberbatch, Juliet Stevenson, Ellie Bamber and Clarke Peters (pictured top with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s CEO Catherine Rénier).

Benedict Cumberbatch was the guest of honour at a Jaeger-LeCoultre event this week celebrating the company’s 186-year relationship with the Art of Precision.

London’s Royal Academy, an institution that supports artists and architects, hosted a dinner that included readings of historic artists’ letters by Mr Cumberbatch, Juliet Stevenson, Ellie Bamber and Clarke Peters (pictured top with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s CEO Catherine Rénier).

A philanthropic initiative, Letters Live promotes the power of literacy by inviting influential artists to perform live readings of historical letters, while adding their own artistic interpretation to the original text.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s CEO Catherine Rénier took the opportunity to draw attention to its 2019 Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon Westminster Perpétuel, a physical representation of the Art of Precision.

The minute repeater watch has four sets of hammers and crystal gongs that recreate the sound of Big Ben’s bells ringing.
