Basel success for Condor Group

Condor Group has announced that this year’s Basel was its most successful ever, having lead to new business in international markets.

The group, which produces Royal London, Cannibal and TimeCo watches, signed new accounts in countries including India, Qatar, Saudia Arabia and Isreal.

This adds to the international reach of the 75-year-old company which is also in the process of forming new business relationships in Burma, Georgia, Mongolia, Japan, Belarus, Lithuania and Australia.

Condor’s flagship brand, Royal London, exhibited in hall 1.2 for the first time while Condor Group maintained its presence in hall 2.0 with the Cannibal brand, watch straps, jewellers tools and accessories as part of a strategy to encourage new growth.

David Stokes, Head of Sales and Marketing from Condor Group, said: “We had a fantastic show at Basel in hall 1.2, where the combination of strong positioning surrounded by other major brands and an outstanding product range proved immensely successful. We are delighted to start Q3 in such a strong position. This is really shaping up to be a great year for Condor Group and we look forward to what 2014 has in store for us.”

Condor’s Royal London brand is currently enjoying the exposure of a partnership with MCE British Superbike Championship, which launched earlier this month, that sees the brand act as official timekeeper.

The first championship event of the year was held at Brands Hatch over the Easter Weekend, where the Royal London logo was visible on the official event live timing service and in the associated timing graphics embedded in the global liveTV feed for each event.

The rider starting in pole position at the start of each of the 26 races, and the end of season champions will be awarded a Royal London watch to commemorate the event.
