BALL Watch Company has confirmed its participation at this year’s WATCHPRO Salon, which takes place in London from November 12 to 13.
BALL is famous as the watchmaker created to keep time on America’s nascent railway industry after a head-on train collision in 1891 was blamed on a lack of synchronised timing protocols.
It maintains its reputation for vital tool watches for divers, explorers and adventurers with rugged timekeepers made extra readable in all conditions thanks to the use of H₃ gas in glass micro tubes to light up its dials.
BALL’s new Engineer II Skindiver Heritage demonstrates all of the company’s watchmaking strengths.
It uses micro gas tube luminosity in five colours underneath a curved rotating bezel, on the dial and to light up the the hands.
The 42mm stainless steel watch houses BALL’s automatic RR1102 movement, based on the ETA 2836-2 powering hours, minutes and seconds hand and a day date display at 3 o’clock on its black dial.
It uses sapphire crystal on the front and back.
The watch is shock, magnetic field and water resistant to 200 metres and is on sale now for £1,850 on a stainless steel bracelet with titanium coating or £1,750 with a rubber strap.
BALL is appearing at WATCHPRO SALON, which takes place at The Londoner, a brand new 5-star hotel on Leicester Square, from November 12 to 13.
