London’s Backes & Strauss has added a brushed titanium version to its Emperor Tourbillon collection first launched in 2016.
The manually wound Berkeley Emperor Titan Tourbillon 45 is the lightest model in a family that already includes pieces in rose or white gold.
Its 60 second tourbillon is set in a rotating frame decorated by Backes & Strauss’ signature arrows motif (which come from the arrows pattern visible when viewing an Ideal Cut diamond from above the crown).
The tourbillon carriage is attached to the case at six points by tapered diamonds.
It will be made in very limited numbers. Price on application.
