The team behind AVI-8’s latest chronograph has paid homage to one of the most celebrates and utilized fighter jets in military history.
In launching the Hawker Hunter Atlas Dual Time, the brand has celebrated the watch which broke the world air speed record in 1953, when fighter ace and test pilot Neville Duke reached 727.63mph.
The new watch is housed in a contemporary, utilitarian and robust 12-sided stainless steel case echoing the Hunter’s flight instruments.
It is crowned by a 12-hour scale bezel, which enables a third timezone to be displayed too.
Under the hood, the timepiece is powered by a Japanese chronograph movement featuring a date, dual time and 24-hour read-out while the skeletonized hour hand provides the time at your present location when you are traveling, whilst a third hand with a slim triangular tip indicates the prevailing hour at home.
Attaching the watch to wrist is a premium handcrafted genuine leather strap with contrast military aviation inspired stitching.
Due for release on January 27th, the watch will retail for £310 (AV-4100-01/02/03) and £330 (AV-4100-04).
