Arnold & Son buoyed by Monaco Yacht Show response

Arnold & Son displayed a selection of its haute horlogerie timepieces aimed specifically at lovers of fine watchmaking at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.

The watchmaker joined its partner in the luxury yacht business, Northrop & Johnson, at the pre-opening party held on the fifth deck at the Yacht Club of Monaco.

The Monaco Yacht Show, which has been held annually at the principality’s iconic Port Hercules since 1991, is the world’s only event dedicated exclusively to super-yachts. Every year, an elite clientele has the opportunity to view, inspect and purchase around 120 custom-built, one-off vessels, ranging in length from 25 to 100 metres including some 40 new launches.

Around 250 guests attended the invitation-only pre-opening event, which gave Arnold & Son a perfect platform on which to present its timepieces to a selected audience.

Mr. Fabien Dutriaux, vice president of sales, outlined the advantages of the partnership with Northrop & Johnson: “Our presence at events like the Monaco Show gives us a glamorous platform for our products and direct access to an important customer group that includes professional visitors, ultra high-net-worth individuals and business decision-makers from around the globe.”

Arnold & Son’s presence at yacht and super-yacht shows such as the Monaco event provides an opportunity for the company to highlight its own impressive maritime past. The Instrument Collection was inspired by the timepieces developed when John Arnold and his son Roger focused on chronometry and helped solve the problem of determining longitude at sea.
