Armed raiders storm Rolex shop at one of world’s most iconic hotels

A gang of armed robbers, including a man allegedly wearing a pig mask, carried out a brazen heist on a Rolex boutique at one of the world’s most famous hotels over the weekend.

The gang sparked panic in the early hours of Saturday morning when they burst into the Rolex watch shop at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

One eye-witness said she saw a man wearing a mask in the shape of a pig’s head and carrying a gun fleeing the Rolex shop.

“I heard three shots, he was carrying a gun and took the mask off while he was leaving,” she told The Independent. “I started running as soon as I heard them. We’re really scared.”

It is understood that the robbers used sledge hammers to smash their way into the shop, but the value of goods they left with is not clear.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department put part of the Bellagio on lockdown after rushing to the scene.

Police used social media to deny reports of an “active shooter” and said that one person had been taken into custody.

Preliminary investigations suggest three suspects were involved in the raid.

The Bellagio is one of the world’s top luxury hotels, renowned for its huge water fountain shows.
