Antiquorum presses on with Geneva watch sale as a private auction

March 21 sale of modern and vintage timepieces will accept bids by telephone, on our online platform or by registering absentee bids.

Phillips may have cancelled its Spring auction in Geneva because of Coronavirus concerns, but Antiquorum is pressing ahead with its sale this weekend (March 21) with bids accepted by telephone, on our online platform or by registering absentee bids.

The company says its hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities and governments around the globe who are on the front line working to contain this virus.

As the virus develops it is adopting precautionary measures in order to best protect its teams and clients.

“In this climate, we are changing the format of the auction to a Private Auction,” it explains.

It is also ready to share additional information about any watches in the sale, including condition reports and additional photographs, but e-mail.

There are 295 items in the sale ranging from vintage clocks and pocket watches to modern day unicorn watches. Who knows, with the current uncertainty, this could be time to bag a rare gem at a fantastic price.
