Andy Murray serves up a treat for fans

Rado brand ambassador Andy Murray took a break from promotional work to visit a London watch store to talk to fans for 77 minutes.

Murray was ferried from Queen’s Club in west London in a Rado-branded taxi to Swatch Group’s Hour Passion store on Oxford Street, where he stepped out onto a green carpet.
Matthias Breschan, Rado’s chief executive officer, was on hand to greet the tennis superstar inside the store, which has been branded with images from Rado’s HyperChrome Court collection.

The precise duration of the event was designed to reflect Murray’s historic 2013 Wimbledon win, the first for a British man for 77 years.

Murray posed for pictures with 195 specially selected fans which quickly spread across social media with the event hashtag #greatshotandy.

Breschan said: “We all know what a huge sporting star Andy is and we’re very proud to have been able to bring him to the Hour Passion store today to meet some of his many fans. It’s great to see how much he means to people here and we’re looking forward to supporting Andy during the grass court season in the UK.”

Murray was at Queen’s Club to promote the Aegon Championships to be held in June, where he will be defending his 2013 title. Rado is also official timekeeper of the tournament.
