American Idol judge and music producer and manager Randy Jackson is set to launch a range of watches called Timepieces by Randy Jackson in July, having partnered with US manufacturer Clyde Duneier Inc. to create the range.
Jackson is described as an “avid watch collector” who has taken his knowledge of watchmaking to develop a collection that will be “synonymous with luxury, high quality craftsmanship and trendsetting design”.
The range will be launched on July 20th and will be sold exclusively through American TV shopping channel Home Shopping Network (HSN).
Jackson said of the collection: “The time has come to bring style and the next ‘it’ thing in fashion to everyone; watches for the whole family!
”My passion and love of timepieces has brought about a collection of hot, cool styles that everybody can enjoy.”
HSN’s vice-president of jewellery merchandising, John Bosco, said Randy is known “for his style, his passion for quality timepieces and having a vision for the next big thing”.
The Timepieces by Randy Jackson collection will have seven sub-categories: contemporary classics, automatics, sport, ceramic, couture and limited editions. Jackson has been fully involved in creating the collection, which will have men’s, women’s and unisex styles made using steel, ceramic and acrylic.
Swarovski crystals will also features as will Swiss-made quartz and automatic movements. Prices will range from $99 to $3,500 (£62 to £2,194) for a limited edition collectors’ piece.
