Alpina has successfully launched an AlpinerX watch into space as part of its ‘Reach your Summit’ campaign.
The launch took place in partnership with Sent into Space, a UK-based start-up focused on space photography and saw the watch reach a height of 33,793 meters.
To mark the occasion and to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, Alpina launched a special edition timepiece in a deep blue hue.
The watchmaker only created 299 of the special edition timepieces with the back of the case featuring a special engraving that includes the Moon in the centre of Alpina’s famous triangle logo, inspired by the Matterhorn.
