Alpina creates watch for Le Mans sponsorship

Alpina has ramped up its marketing with a presence at Le Mans this year, sponsoring race team Level 5 Motorsports.

The team has scooped five major victories in the past two years, coming third in last year’s 24-hour Le Mans race, headed by 51-year-old Scott Tucker.

“Since day one, we have set out to mount a first-class effort toward winning a World Championship, said Tucker.

Over the years the Level 5 Motorspots team has grown and adapted with new and younger drivers joining. “We’ve surrounded ourselves with the world’s best technical partners, proven crew members and championship drivers. With Alpina Geneve we’ve found another great partner that shares our vision for excellence,” he added.

Alpina Geneve created a watch especially for the partnership with Level 5 Motorsports, called the Alpina Racing Automatic. It has a 47mm stainless steel case with black dial, black leather strap with red contrasting stitching, full 12-hour chronograph function, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and an automatic movement with transparent case back to view the movement.
