We would all like our special birthdays to last all year and, if you are a Richemont-owned watchmaker, your dream can come true.
A. Lange & Söhne said in January that it would release a new 25th anniversary version of its Lange 1 classic every month for a year and, true to its word, is now up to number six.
This month’s model, the Lange 1 Moon Phase 25th Anniversary has both a moonphase complication with a day/night indicator. There will be 25 available for the entire world.
During the daytime, the moon is depicted against a bright blue starless sky; at night, it contrasts against the dark blue heavens with 383 stars.
The manually wound watch uses the calibre L121.3, a modified version of Lange’s L121.1 launched in 2015.
Like all other models of the 25th Anniversary collection, the number 25 is integrated in the manually engraved, blue-filled balance cock.
