A. Lange & Söhne adds to its Zeitwerk watch family

Zeitwerk Honeygold Lumen comes in Lange’s proprietary rose gold with an interesting feature of a luminous jumping numerals display.

A. Lange & Söhne’s Zeitwerk design was first unveiled in 2009 with its three disk mechanism presenting the time in oversized numerals to the left and right of the dial, a power reserve at the top and an oversized small seconds sub dial to the bottom.

The base architecture and design has been built on over the past decade with a date ring added to one reference on the Zeitwerk’s 10th anniversary and a minute repeater built into another.

Models have been made in white, yellow and rose gold, as well as steel.

A fresh reference launching today uses Lange’s proprietary honey gold for its 41.9mm case and comes with a semi-transparent black dial that makes the luminous jumping numerals display visible as they tick towards their apertures to the left and right of the face.

The Zeitwerk Honeygold Lumen uses Lange’s manufacture calibre L043.9, first seen in the 2020 Zeitwerk Date, which has a 72 hour power reserve.
