The latest Bonhams Knightsbridge Watches Sale begins at 1pm today with more than 200 timepieces going under the hammer.
Knightsbridge sales are known for offering a wider range of brands at more affordable prices than the Bond Street auctions, and there are pieces to suit every collectors’ taste.

Longines 1939 Pilot’s Watch
Estimate: £15,000 – 20,000
Longines stainless steel manual wind pilots hour angle watch sold by A Cairelli Roma in c.1939.
Designed by American pilot Charles Lindbergh in partnership with Longines, the watch allowed for accurate determination of longitude during long-distance flights. As a result, pilots and navigators were able to find their geographic location quickly, efficiently and with great accuracy.

Patek Philippe pocket watch
Estimate £12,000 – 18,000
This highly attractive Patek Philippe pocket watch with diamond set bezel bears a personal inscription from celebrated Irish tenor John McCormack  to Frank Borzage who was the producer on the film ‘Song O’ My Heart’ in which McCormack appeared.
The watch was made in 1928 and sold in 1929.
