Rado more often makes a point of pushing the high-tech ceramic construction of its cases and bracelets before all else, but with the True Open Heart another feature takes centre stage and offers a tantalising new dial design.
Rado has slipped a slither of mother of pearl a few tenths of a millimetre thick beneath the hands of the True Open Heart to serve as the dial.
At this thickness the mother of pearl exhibits a mysterious, shimmering translucency, at once revealing and, to a certain extent, concealing the watch’s mechanical automatic movement beneath.
This 500-piece limited edition is housed in a ceramic monobloc case with three-row bracelet and titanium clasp in both black and white references.
