50 Brands of Basel: Bremont

British watch brand Bremont has unveiled three new models today ahead of its showing at Basel.

As well as introducing the first white-dialled watch to its MBII collection and the first black dial to its ALT1-C design, Bremont also took the wraps off the ruggedly handsome ALT1-ZT/51 chronograph.

This new model updates last year’s ALT1-ZT – the ZT standing for Zulu Time which is used as the military timezone –  which has become increasingly popular among Bremont’s military customers.

Nick English, co-founder of Bremont, explained: “For me the ALT1-ZT is arguably the most handsome and practical GMT chronograph we have manufactured to date. It is beautifully simple, easy to read and a watch you would happily see strapped to your wrist in 20 years’ time. One of our most iconic limited editions to date is the sought-after Bremont P-51. The heritage look and feel of this timepiece inspired many collectors internationally and it seemed fitting to pay tribute to it through the new ALT1-ZT/51.”

As such, the 43mm Bremont ALT-ZT/51 features custom-coloured Super-LumiNova on its hands and hour markers and presents its 12-hour and 30-minute registers in white against a black dial. The watch is also secured on a brown, aged leather strap with deployment clasp.
