HYT calls its first watch of 2019 the H20 Time is Fluid; a reference to the “micro-fluidic” module at the heart of its movement that displays time by pushing coloured liquid around the circumference of its dial.
The name also alludes to HYT’s mindfulness attitude, which is best described by the company:
“In a world ruled by immediacy, time is a precious commodity that no one seems to own. The H20 Time is Fluid by HYT turns this apparent dilemma into meaningful reassurance by giving time context. This innovative timepiece accepts, visualises and celebrates the flow of time. Never claiming to be its keeper, it uses fluid technology to turn the interplay of the past, present and future into a canvas for individualised content. Why chase time when you can make sense of it?” the company asks.
The watch comes in a 51mm gold case with domed sapphire crystal. The dial has microblasted stainless steel bridges and a diamond guilloché main plate in rhodium-plated nickel silver.
The watch will be unveiled to retailers at January’s SIHH exhibition in Geneva.
