WOTY2012: Jaeger-LeCoulture Grande Reverso Mad Men

Earlier this year WatchPro unveiled its Watches of the Year 2012 – the 10 winning timepieces and 90 highly commended watches that we felt boasted commercial appeal, innovation and had wowed consumers and retailers alike over the past 12 months.

Highly commended in the Limited Edition Watch of the Year category was the Jaeger-LeCoulture Grande Reverso Ultra-Thin Tribute to Mad Men.

When Jaeger-LeCoultre took its most iconic timepiece and decorated it in homage to one of television’s current biggest hits, it was guaranteed that a collector’s item would be born.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s tribute to Mad Men is limited to just 25 pieces and features the logo of the fictitious Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce advertising agency around which the television show is based.

Each piece has its limited number hand-engraved on it and all are sold with a commemorative letter from Roger Sterling, one of Mad Men’s leading characters, as well as a commemorative book signed by the programme’s creator and executive producer Matthew Weiner.

While it is a Grand Reverso through and through, this special edition got both the watch world and Mad Men fans talking – a great collaboration and a brilliant limited-edition timepiece.
