Highly Commended. Daniel Wellington Classic St Andrews.
The Classic St Andrews appears as though a designer has sought to strip back a watch as far as it would go without become unrecognisable.
There is no flourish or unnecessary extravagance. Two hands, hour indices and a minute track; enough to tell you the time and that’s it. The result is absolutely timeless, a blank slate watch that could be worn as part of any look or for any occasion.
A slim quartz movement allows the watch to be manufactured with a depth of just 6mm while adding some gently swept-back lugs ensures the watch wraps effortlessly around the wrist. The rose gold PVD case offers a warm, nostalgic combination with the St Andrews’ handsome padded brown leather strap. The only misstep we could identify could be levelled at any Daniel Wellington watch, namely that reversed-D in the company monogram.
