WOTY 2012: Mechanical – ToyWatch Toy2Fly Skeleton

Earlier this year WatchPro unveiled its Watches of the Year 2012 – the 10 winning timepieces and 90 highly commended watches that we felt boasted commercial appeal, innovation and had wowed consumers and retailers alike over the past 12 months.

Now we are showcasing a watch a day that made the cut in 2012 with today all about this striking fashion watch from ToyWatch, bringing the beauty of a skeletonised dial to the masses.

Highly Commended Mechanical Watch of the Year – ToyWatch Toy2Fly Skeleton

Fashion watch brands are getting ever more serious with their offers and are demanding to be taken more seriously by watch retailers and connoisseurs.

For 2012 ToyWatch has begun its mechanical journey and at BaselWorld it launched its Toy2Fly Skeleton watch collection, a monochromatic range of watches that clashed fashion styling – Plasteramic cases and silicon straps – with a special skeletonised three-handed movement.

The brand has taken its design, inspired by aviation watches, and made its mechanical models commercially appealing but with plenty of luxe styling to boot.

The Toy2Fly collection is also unisex, with a choice of two cases sizes, gold- silver- or pink gold-tone details on the decorated skeleton movement and has stitched-style silicone straps. It also replaces typical numerals with letters.
