World’s leading golfers tee off new collection from Audemars Piguet

Audemars Piguet took advantage of its Golf Invitational in Orlando to launch its new Royal Oak Chronograph collection.

Audemars Piguet invited nine pro golfers and 72 watch collectors to its Golf Invitational for 18 holes at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club before unveiling the 2017 Royal Oak Chronograph.

The Swiss Haute Horlogerie brand invited Open Champion Henrik Stenson, Danny Willett, Lee Westwood, Branden Grace, Bernd Wiesberger, Ian Poulter, Ben An and Emiliano Grillo and Andrew “Beef” Johnston to their Invitational.

23 time Grand Slam champion and mother-to-be, Serena Willliams, joined the dinner at Englishman Ian Poulter’s home, with the presentation of this year’s Royal Oak Chronograph collection.

Ms Williams won her seventh Wimbledon title while wearing an Audemars Piguet white Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph in rose gold on her wrist.

When Audemars Piguet unveiled the Royal Oak in 1972, luxury timepieces were traditionally small and made of gold, but the brand produced its first luxury sports timepiece from steel.

Audemars Piguet claims the sportsmen “perfectly embody Audemars Piguet’s philosophy.”
