Wearable payments firm secures major watch brands for launch

Contactless wearable payments company Tappy Technologies has secured renowned international watch brands ahead of its launch this week.

The launch partnership will see Tappy’s payment technology embedded into traditional timepieces from partners including: Ted Baker, Mondaine, Technos, NEWATCH and SAGA.

Tappy is a specialist in contactless wearable payments and is a Global Wearable Program Partner of leading banks and financial institutions. Its fully integrated technology can instantly transform a watch, jewellery or accessory into a payment device. The technology is designed to provide the highest level of security for payments and transactions.

It is hoped that the new partnerships will propel Tappy technology into the mainstream watch market and establish it as a major player.

Grupo Technos is one of the largest watch company’s in Latin America and it has a portfolio of twenty brands. With this partnership Tappy aims to establish itself as the premier contactless wearable payment solutions provider in Latin America.

NEWATCH has been designed by MEIZU, a leading smartphone brands and the watch claims to offer some of the slimmest and smallest hybrid watches.

SAGA meanwhile, is popular in the Far East and it is hoped rolling out payment technology enabled watches in this market will further establish Tappy’s international presence.
