2016 is the year of the Reverso for Jaeger-LeCoultre as the world’s most iconic rectangular watch celebrates its 85th anniversary.
As such there was a flurry of activity around the collection including the introduction of three case sizes in the Classic range, an new automatic calibre, a gyrotourbillon, some rather eccentric designs from new partner Christian Louboutin and even news of a digital personalisation service for its boutiques.
But it was the new Reverso Tribute collection that presented the most appealing propositions. The rose gold Reverso Tribute Calendar saw a complete calendar with moonphase nimbly accommodated on a white dial while a Night and Day complication is presented on the second, slate grey dial.
But the play between the steel case and sartorial blue used in the Reverso Tribute Duo was a true crowd-pleaser. Happy birthday Reverso!
