Hydromechanical watch brand HYT abandoned one of its founding promises at SIHH, but it was not a decision undertaken lightly and was most definitely in the common good.
The H2 Tradition is the watch that HYT founder Vincent Perriard said he would never make, a watch with a traditional horological aesthetic and classical decorative techniques such as guilloche, lacquered dials and blued steel hands.
A move to a regulator-style dial layout also meant a major reworking of the movement was required by long-term development partners Audemars Piguet Renaud et Papi. Just 50 pieces of the white gold and titanium H2 Tradition will be produced.
