Watchfinder adds seventh store to growing UK network

Watchfinder is opening its seventh physical UK store. The pre-owned watch specialist, which was named the 2017 Omnichannel Watch Retailer of the Year at last week’s WatchPro Awards, will cut the ribbon on a boutique at London’s Brent Cross Shopping Centre on December 6.

The company, which started life purely as an online business, now has five outlets in London along with doors in Leeds and Bluewater in Kent.

Alex Stonely, Watchfinder’s head of retail, said: “It may be unusual for a company to move from online to offline, but our experience is that different customers want to be able to deal with us in a variety of ways. We have customers who never visit the stores but like that they could if they need to. There are others who visit their local store whenever they need to talk to us. We want to be able to deal with our customers in a way that suits them rather than a way that suits us.”

Watchfinder has between 4,000 and 4,500 watches available online at any one time and says it sells watches worth £10 million every month.
