Fiyta 3 d collection

Watch brand that clocked up two prestigious design awards maintains momentum

FIYTA, which has won the highly regarded Red Dot Design Award in both 2010 and 2014 for its Shenzhou VII Space Watch and 3D Time Watch, respectively, has launched a new collection.

Considered by many to be the ‘Academy Awards’ in industrial design, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the most respected and recognised design awards across the world. It aims to find a balance between creativity and practical functionality.

Over the past two years FIYTA designers have worked on extending its 3D Time Watch into a collection of 3D timepieces. This new collection made its debut at Baselworld 2016.

With the new 3D watch collection, the skeleton movement shows the time in the traditional way but in addition, a unique disk allows the wearer to discreetly view the time indicated by a marker near the 6 o’clock position. Its appearance, structural design and craftsmanship make this a true masterpiece, according to the brand.

The domed glass is designed to give it a futuristic look in terms of design and technology. The dial could well be from an alien spaceship, thanks to the surreal design detail, says FIYTA. One of the main design features of this watch is that the movement’s rhythm can be observed through the display case-back.

The luminous index on the dial, in vibrant colours such as orange, sky blue and fluorescent green, help the user to read the time at night. The white, black and chocolate brown vertically brushed dial aims to enhance the colours and give the dial a unique look.

The NATO strap and the calf-leather strap are designed to make a powerful statement. The straps fit snugly to the wrist and can be removed and exchanged with ease.
